I would highly recommend this school. First, I really like that it was situated outside of the main road and chaos, on the mountain. Its quieter than many other schools and the facilities are new and clean. The food was great, with different options, all vegetarian. All personnel and managers were very nice and attentive and always helped with any issues we had. They provide us some excursions (even more than we wanted because some days off we we’re choosing just to stay at school and study more).

I enjoyed my 2 months stay at Himalayan Holistic Yoga school and successfully completed my 500 Hours YTT in Hatha & Multi-style disciplines. The staff are friendly and always available to assist the students in every possible way.The teachers are all young, energetic and knowledgeable, I improved a lot in my flexibility and alignment, I have a history of a stiff body due to endurance cycling, the meditation and breathing techniques taught here helped me in being deeply aware of myself.


The school is situated on top of a hill from the centre which is great because that gives you beautiful mountainous views. You also have the perks of seeing the sunrise creep up behind the mountains in between your morning Pranayama & Hatha class which creates an amazing ambience in the yoga hall. The teachers are incredible. They have a passion for what they are teaching and that shines through. In fact, towards the end of the course I think it’s fair to say us students called them friends. All staff are very accommodating and welcoming. They make you feel at home, which is important.

It was absolutely life changing – a priceless experience, one which I will be forever grateful for! There are so many yoga schools in Rishikesh so of course, it hard to for best one. The technical side of the asana practice is going to be quite similar in all – but the thing that sets this school apart is the authenticity of the teaching.
